Margam – ancient stones

return to Landscapes of Faith festival journeys

Roman inscribed stones, sixth century Celtic stones and fabulous medieval celtic crosses; these are part of the Margam collection at the Margam Stones Museum.

This lovely museum, next door to the delightful Margam Abbey, is housed in a building that was once one of the earliest church schools in modern Wales, and today you can learn about these amazing carved monuments, and visit the nearby Margam Park.

After visiting the Margam Stones Museum you could explore the beautiful Margam Park next door
