The 2021 Landscapes of Faith festival journeys begin at Strata Florida.

Here’s a quick phone film of our visit to Strata Florida on Day 1 of the Landscapes of Faith festival

This valley has been of special importance to people for thousands of years and was the site where Cistercian monks built a great Abbey.

Today, among it’s ruins we came to find out out how the the sparkling medieval literature of Wales was fostered and developed here on the site of a much older Celtic Monastery. The place has stunning scenery and a great sense of quiet and peace.
